I'm a photographer who works in two registers — the commissioned and the personal — and tries to bring the same patient eye to both.

The Work

My practice began with long walks and a film camera — an exercise in paying attention. That's still the foundation, whether I'm shooting a founder's headshot, the last dance at a wedding, or a quiet ridge for myself.

I shoot mostly on natural light and favour an unobtrusive approach — I'd rather catch the real moment than stage a stiff one. For clients that means relaxed sessions and coverage that keeps the energy of the room; for my personal work it means slowing down until a place shows its weather, its hesitation, its grain.
